I
am based in London, UK. I take portraits of people. I like it a lot.
In fact, I like it so much, I keep on me a little wooden
hammer at all times. I use it to hit myself on the head when I get overexcited thinking myself the luckiest man in the world for doing something I enjoy. Because let me be entirely clear about this: I am not the luckiest man. I don't know where the luckiest man is, but one day, I will hunt him down and bring him to justice. Failing that, I will take an out-of-focus, under-exposed photograph of him, show it to him and say: "See, luckiest man in the world: not so lucky now, hm!" (To which, I am sure, he'll have some smug, happy-go-lucky comment like 'lucky I'm much better looking in real life, eh?")
As
for my bio: I worked in TV for a bit, then I worked in IT for
a bit and then I had enough and became a photographer. I assisted
the great Clive Arrowsmith for three years before setting out
on my own. I play the piano and can count from 1 to 10 in German. I am currently working on a book with portraits of comedians. It's no laughing matter.
